Brand New Creative Edge Inspirational Brochure

Good Morning,

Due to the incredible demand we have seen from all our customers looking to create new ways to lay their Camaro flooring, we have created a brand new 44 page brochure packed full of high design flooring layouts.

We have called this supplement our CREATIVE EDGE and its is available to view online now.

Creative Edge supplement
Creative Edge brochure

To help you to understand the complexity involved in creating each layout, each design floor is accompanied by a 1, 2 or 3 star rating. This easy to follow system illustrates the different installation options available from simply mixing wood and stone tiles together (1 star) through to detailed bespoke cut design floors (3 stars).

To order your free copy of the new Creative Edge brochure, or samples of any of the shades featured, contact the dedicated Polyflor Samples Hotline on 0161 767 2551, or visit the Polyflor at Home or Polyflor.com websites.

We are always on the lookout for fresh ideas and customer installations, so if you have recently had your flooring changed then please send us your photographs via Twitter at @Polyflorltd, post them on our Facebook page at Facebook.com/Polyflorltd or email them to info@polyflor.com. We regularly upload our favourites onto our blog so you may even find your installations featured right here!

Our Cure for The Monday Blues!

Monday’s more often than not fall victim to a rather awful reputation, but here at Polyflor at Home HQ we want to try and blow them away for good (…with a little help from the wind outside!)

Let us start with one of the greatest and most anticipated celestial displays; the Perseid Meteor Shower (has anyone spotted Google’s Doodle today?). Known as the “fireball champion”, this beautiful wonder of our universe is made up from the debris stream from comet Swift-Tuttle and at it’s peak, observers can view 60 to 100 meteors in an hour! Activity is said to peak tonight, but will continue until Wednesday. For some advice on how is best to view the shower check out this fantastic resource by clicking here. And, if you’re lucky enough to experience parts of the display, let us know by leaving a comment, and if you manage to capture any shots we’d love to see them!

Our second way of banishing the blues is by our most recent and fantastic customer installations! Over the past couple of weeks we’ve seen some lovely applications of the Colonia and Camaro flooring ranges across a number of rooms within the home. In this batch we have an eclectic selection of woods, stones and tiles which really shows off the diverse selection of finishes in each of the LVT ranges on offer from Polyflor at Home.

We have even spotted two installations of Bevel Line flooring in the stunning French Nut Tree decor! This fantastic collection of bevel edged luxury vinyl tiles is predominantly installed within commercial environments, but you can really see how easily adaptable and flexible the flooring is to be able to be used within a home.

Our Latest Fantastic Customer Installations!

So it’s been a couple of weeks since our last post of customer installations and in that time we’ve all finally started to experience a summer, hurrah! We’ve been dying to share this strong and varied collection of fantastic customer installations with you all since last time so let’s get straight in to it.

It’s a real joy to see how customers continue to look to the Camaro and Colonia brochures for inspiration for how the flooring can be laid, but also how people are thinking outside of the box with their own creative designs. It shows how diverse the LVT Collections are and how tailored you can really make them. For more inspiration on how you can get the look be sure to check out the Polyflor at Home website, or if you’re an avid ‘pinner’ (or even beginner,) check out our Pinterest Board.

Interestingly this week we have a before and after shot from CJC Flooring, which shows a 1930s brick red tile being overlaid with Camaro Portico Limestone in an entrance hall. The effect is staggering, and as you will see it completely lightens the space whilst also giving the hall a warmer, modern and open feel.

We have also spotted a growing theme of some very cute cats being fans of the Camaro flooring ranges!  A couple are included below, but for more be sure to check out our twitter feed. You will spot a very comfortable-looking cat on top of some Camaro boxes! – which made us ponder; why exactly do cats love boxes? 🙂

As always keep more of your installation photos coming through either by tagging @Polyflorltd  in your tweets or e-mailing them over to us direct on lvt@polyflor.com. Oh, and if you spot any pets enjoying the flooring too be sure to include those too! This has got us thinking about pets, and specifically interiors for pets in the home..keep your eyes peeled for more on this one!

Enjoy this beautiful weather everyone, and stay safe!

Did you spot us?

Well it’s been a busy week yet again here at Polyflor at Home HQ but Friday has finally arrived!

We noticed that Grand Designs Magazine have picked up on an increasingly growing trend with design and architecture on their Twitter feed this week, (keep your eyes peeled for more details on this fabulous trend next week,) and have picked up on the Polyflor at Home Pinterest board – did you spot us?

We know at Polyflor at Home that there are still common misconceptions with luxury vinyl tiles, however the Colonia and Camaro ranges have been developed to help you feel really at home, and offer highly authentic decoration representing natural elements while covering many of today’s trends. The designs, performance and attractive prices of our LVT products show the market and naysayers why there has been such a rapid increase in LVT flooring being chosen over the past 18 months, which is something that is showing no sign of stopping. To echo this, our customer installations have been pouring through our Twitter feed as usual this week, and we’ve spotted some lovely uses of LVT across people’s kitchens, hallways, living rooms, entrance halls and bathrooms. It’s great to see our flooring being laid within areas which demand high-end design, but at the same time, high performance and durability.

If our blog inspires you to choose Camaro or Colonia flooring for your home then what better way is there to get a feel for the flooring than taking advantage of our free sample service! For more information on this service, feel free to call us on 0161 767 2551 or when you’re looking through the Polyflor at Home website and you see a floor you like, simply click on the ‘+’ button

Before we bid you adieu, we are pleased to announce that our blog is growing in popularity each month, so there’s no better time to share your hard work if you want to get your shots included in our installation round-ups for all to see! To see your photos on here, either tag @Polyflorltd  in a tweet or e-mail them over to us direct on lvt@polyflor.com

Until next week!

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait!

I’m afraid we have been suffering from some technical issues on our blog over the past couple of weeks so there’s been a slight delay in sharing the latest customer installations.

So let us all cast our minds back to when the sun was shining and Polyflor at Home HQ was flush with some beautifully sun kissed faces after that scorching weekend! Hopefully our next one is around the corner.

As it starts to brighten up there’s no better time to get those home renovations completed, something which is being echoed each week via our Twitter feed twitter.com/polyflorltd . Last week saw a wonderful mix of wood, tiling and stone designs from the strong favourite-Camaro range.

We in particular love the Camaro Ocean Slate farm house installation where the different hues and patterns change the look of the floor at any given angle. This provides the room with true depth and gives it a wonderful bespoke feel.

As always, do carry on sending your shots through to us at @Polyflorltd or drop us an email to lvt@polyflor.com, attaching your pics. We find them inspiring here at Polyflor at Home HQ and so do our customer base.

New customer projects

We are very excited to confirm that the first few months of 2014 have certainly continued where 2013 left off, resulting in more great looking customer projects. As usual, we have been collating many of the images of the Polyflor Colonia, Camaro & Secura collections kindly provided by our flooring installer and retailer friends via our Twitter account (twitter.com/polyflorltd), plus a few others showing Bevel Line, Expona and SimpLay have sneaked in there.

As you’ll see, the creativity continues to flow with the flooring designs, patterns and colours being selected to enhance the interior schemes. We particularly love the way many of the completed installations are specifically designed to suit the shape of the space, utilising inlay strips, perimeter surrounds and directional patterns to help create a truly unique and tailored floor design.

As always, we find sharing such imagery really helps our ever growing customer base to find a floor to suit their design vision, so keep them coming, we love receiving them. It’s not only our installation partners who can share their projects, we are also very excited to receive shots from the end users and it couldn’t be easier to do this. You can either send us a tweet to @Polyflorltd or drop us an email to lvt@polyflor.com, attaching your pics. Don’t worry, we are not looking for the perfect shot, digital photos from your phone, camera, iPad or any device are welcome. We have been known to send our favourites a little something for their trouble… hint, hint!

Anyway, we hope you enjoy this fresh batch of images and thanks again for those who take the time to send them in, we very much appreciate it.

Happy New Year!

A bit of fun for our floorlaying friends

It’s getting to that time of year when a bit of festive fun is certainly the order of the day and to help get things rolling, we have set up a little light-hearted competition to celebrate the work of our floorlaying friends. Testing these highly skilled and often unsung brains of the trade, we have set up the following music based quiz.

Song titles can often be interpreted in different ways from person to person, and this lead us to think about our own industry. What we are looking for are Song Titles or Band or Artist Names which relate to the art of flooring installation.

We are going to kick things off with a couple of examples to help steer you in the right direction, but we’ve no doubt that you’ll come up trumps with some real winners. You may want to think about the tools used, the flooring material, the action of installing or the finished result; which leaves it wide open for a huge number of possibilities, the choice is simply yours.

You can send your ideas to us in a number of ways, across our social media platforms:

Reply to this blog – Fill in the ‘Leave a Reply’ box at the foot of this post.

Twitter – Tweet your answers to @Polyflorltd (please include #flooringmusicquiz)

Facebook – Post your answer on our page at www.facebook.com/Polyflorltd

We will update this post with the best suggestions, so put your thinking caps on and get creative! You never know, Santa may even visit those who post the better suggestions with a little treat!!

Let the flooringlaying fun begin:

1. Orange Juice – Rip it up and start again

2. Oasis – Roll with it

3. Lionel Richie – Stuck on you

4. Bryan Adams – Cuts like a knife

5. Bernard Cribbins – Right Said Fred (and so we had a cuppa tea). Thanks Stephen McLaughlin… we would never suggest floorfitters break for tea!

6. Eric Clapton – Lay Down Poly. It’s actually ‘Sally’ but we love how Get Laid Flooring suggested this one via Twitter, very creative.

7. Madonna – Into the groove. Thanks again to Get Laid Flooring for this clever shout

8. Lino Richie – Hello (is it me you’re looking floor). Thanks to our very own Martin Fletcher & Gordon Bowden suggesting this. It’s actually taken from a flooring contractor, Richard McKinlay Ltd who has it on his van!

9. Jennifer Lopez- On the floor. Well done Gordon Bowden, we were waiting for that one

Here’s a couple more to keep the creative juices flowing:

10. Europe – The vinyl countdown. Sorry!

11. Bryan Ferry – Let’s stick together. Of course

10. Men Without Hats – The Safety Dance. Thanks to Winston from our sister company James Halstead France

11. Velvet Underground – I’m Sticking With You. Another good one, Winston

12. Grateful Dead – To lay me down. Excellent suggestions, Winston

13. Dobie Grey – Out on the floor. For all you Northern Soul fans.

14. Led Zeppelin – Killing floor. Or Howlin’ Wolf for the original!

15. Nickelback – Flat on the floor. A little more obscure… we agree

A couple of adhesive based ones now…

16. Prince – Sticky like glue. No, us neither!

17. Morrissey – Glamorous glue. Well, it would be

18. Bread – down on my knees. Perfect!

Now for two winners…

19. Cat Stevens – The first cut is the deepest. We know, so obvious now

20. Bryan Adams – Cuts like a knife. Surely this can’t be beaten!?

OK, one more…

21. Bobby Darin – Mack the Knife. Classic!

22.Kings of Leon – Camaro. How did we miss that one? Thanks Marcus

…keep them coming.
