Environmentally preferable flooring

Thankfully more and more of us nowadays are environmentally aware and as such often make decisions based on the holostic impact of the products we look to buy. Clearly this is a good thing as a persons own actions do make a difference, plus this stance continues to put more pressure of manufacturers and sellers to ensure they purchase and use materials from sustainable sources.

At Polyflor, we strive to be an environmentally and economically sustainable business, recycling and reducing waste and being as carbon neutral as possible. Our new product development continues to focus on reducing environmental impact by providing a high level of durability, reliability, ease of maintenance and safe disposal.

We have a whole raft of environmental information readily available to view and download, as we aim to be as transparent and responsible in this area as we can. As an example, we can confirm that the Colonia and Camaro flooring collections have an average of 40% recycled content in them and is 100% recyclable at the end of its life. Not only that but all waste produced during the manufacturing process is not thrown away but goes back into the production of new flooring.

All Polyflor products featured on this blog acheive a very low result when VOC tested. Specifically, Eurofins, the largest European testing house of its type have awarded us Indoor Air Comfort Gold status, and we are very proud of this.
